Here is the dilema: Alot of people in this community have been having problems with anonymous messages of late. We do not wish to have to ban anonymous posts because we have friends without journals.

Here is the solution: I have created this journal. It is called in_a_mask. The idea behind this comes from a quote from Velvet Goldmine: "Man is least himself when he talks in his own person! Give him a mask and he’ll tell you the truth!"

This journal is for those friends who are without journals. However, it is not only for my friends. If any of you have a friend you want to keep commenting, even if only a few of your entries are friends only, vouch for them and I will happily send them the password. Everyone always says of internet harrassment, 'what can you expect if you post private thoughts on the internet' but, the truth is, we do expect both respect and honesty. Jounrals are about trusting your readers. When we, who have journals, read eachother's lives then it is an exchange of trust because we both see an equal amount of eachother. When our friends without journals read them, it is usually by our own invite and so there, too, trust remains intacked. However, leaving unsigned comments is a form of harrassment which few people wish to endurer.

2) You may post entries in here but, again, please specify who is posting.

3) Before you start using this journal, please post one entry stating your name, sex, date of birth and who you on LIVEJOURNAL you are here to visit. It will take only a minute or two.
